<image:title>Home - MY APPROACH To chronic pain</image:title>
<image:caption>Hi, I’m Kevin, founder of Sports Therapy Plus. I help people in the Citrus Heights, Roseville, Fair Oaks, Orangevale, Folsom and the greater Sacramento area overcome chronic pain, sports injuries, and movement dysfunctions using NeuroKinetic Therapy, advanced manual therapy, and corrective exercise. Most of my clients find me when traditional therapies have failed to resolve their pain. Rather than simply treating where it hurts, my approach focuses on identifying the underlying movement patterns and muscular imbalances that may be contributing to the problem. I have worked with everyone from world-class professional athletes to active adults, weekend warriors, and people simply trying to move through everyday life without pain. Common conditions I work with include: Neck pain Shoulder pain Low back pain Hip pain Knee pain Ankle & foot pain Elbow, wrist, & hand pain TMJ dysfunction Sciatica Headaches Sports injuries Recurring injuries Chronic muscle tightness Postural dysfunction Sports performance & injury prevention</image:caption>

<image:title>Home - Bridging the gap between rehab and performance</image:title>
<image:caption>As each client and condition presents with very unique symptoms and history, every session is completely customized to fit the needs of the client. While I am certified in many techniques and protocols, the primary tool I use is NeuroKinetic Therapy (NKT). NKT is an assessment system that uses manual muscle testing to identify specific dysfunctional patterns and muscular compensation patterns leading to pain. Instead of focusing only where pain is felt, the goal is to identify the root cause of why the body developed that compensation in the first place. Each appointment begins with a detailed assessment. Once specific compensation patterns are identified, treatment is directed toward restoring proper communication between the brain and muscles before reinforcing those changes with corrective exercises. Many clients notice the immediate positive changes in their pain and movement. The client can instantly tell the difference and they are always blown away with the sniper precision results. Homework is also given to the client to ensure that we are re-educating the nervous system over time to learn a new pattern, one that does not include the previous painful experience.</image:caption>
